Breast Augmentation with Fat Grafts Before & After Case 1240
Case Details
A 40-year-old patient came to Dr. David Stoker with larger breasts that had developed some sagging and lost fullness at the top. She wanted her breasts to look fuller, with a better-defined upper pole. Dr. Stoker performed a breast augmentation with fat grafts, using liposuction to harvest her own fat and transferring it to the breasts.
Choosing between fat grafting, implants, and a breast lift depends on what is actually causing the patient's concern. When the main issue is lost volume in the upper breast, fat grafting can restore that fullness directly. When the breast has descended significantly, a breast lift may be needed to change its position. For this patient, the plan focused on restoring volume in the upper pole.
The postoperative photographs show fuller breasts with improved upper pole volume and a more rounded contour. The change reshapes her breasts without making them substantially larger. Part of the transferred fat may not survive, so careful technique is important. This case shows how fat grafting can improve breast shape in a patient who already has ample size.
