Loose and sagging skin, whether it’s on your face, neck, or body, may keep you from looking as youthful and fit as you really are. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could firm and tighten your skin without a single incision? Now you can, with non-surgical skin tightening treatments in Marina del Rey at the Stoker Aesthetics med spa near Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
While these non-surgical procedures can provide highly visible improvement, it’s important to note that the results are not as dramatic as those achieved with surgery. For men and women seeking more substantial or longer-lasting results, surgery may be a better option. Significant weight loss patients who are frustrated with hanging skin usually require surgery. The degree of skin laxity for these patients is too advanced for non-surgical techniques alone. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing or Ultherapy may be combined with plastic surgery for superior results.
Educated at some of the most elite institutions in the country, Dr. David Stoker uses his highly advanced knowledge to ensure that each patient achieves beautiful, harmonious results — whether it's through a simple non-surgical procedure or a more advanced surgical transformation. Ultherapy treatments are beneficial for people who want to tighten mild to moderately lax skin on the face, neck, or body without surgery or downtime.
During your consultation, we’ll provide the information you need to make an informed choice about whether to pursue surgical or non-surgical skin tightening. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that addresses your concerns.
What are Ultherapy skin tightening treatments like?
We perform Ultherapy treatments in our office using nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and prescription medication to minimize discomfort. Any sensation is only experienced as the ultrasound is delivered. Treatments typically take 1 to 1.5 hours.
What can I expect after an Ultherapy treatment?
You are free to return to your daily routine after your Ultherapy treatment because there is no downtime needed. Treated areas may be mildly red for the first few hours.
When will I see results from Ultherapy?
Results develop gradually as collagen increases in the skin. Patients typically notice tightening in treated areas beginning around 2 to 3 months after treatment. We have patients return at 3 months for a “booster” treatment to ensure optimal results. In most cases, final results are achieved at 6 months.
How many Ultherapy treatments do you need?
Usually just a single Ultherapy treatment is needed to provide desired results. Depending on the laxity of your skin and your body’s response, you may benefit from an additional treatment approximately 6 months after the first one.
