Laser Skin Resurfacing (Mouth) Before & After Case 2572

This patient is in her 50s and of mixed ethnicity. She is more than 50 percent Asian, with Hawaiian and Caucasian ancestry. Her background is important because patients with higher levels of melanin, especially those with Asian skin types, have a greater risk of both hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation. Because of that, we used slightly more conservative settings while still aiming for a strong rejuvenation.

The results are outstanding.

Let’s start with the area around the mouth. In her before photos, she had visible fine lines, deeper etched wrinkles, textural creasing, and enlarged pores. These lines can be some of the most difficult to treat, especially the vertical wrinkles that form from sun damage, muscle movement, and natural collagen loss.

Now look at her after photos.

The fine lines around the mouth are significantly reduced

The deeper wrinkles are softened or completely gone

The skin texture is smooth and refined

The pores in the perioral area appear smaller and tighter

The overall appearance is brighter, healthier, and more youthful

This area shows one of the most dramatic improvements in her entire treatment zone.

As we move outward from the mouth, you can see that the enhancement continues across the lower face. Her skin no longer looks crinkly or matte. Instead, it has a polished, glowing finish with a much more even texture.

Turning her to the side, the neck skin also looks beautiful. It is smooth, refined, and free of wrinkles. Still, the most impressive transformation remains the improvement around her smile lines and mouth, where the CO2 laser made the biggest difference.
