Laser Skin Resurfacing

Sun, wind, and gravity gradually change our glowing, youthful skin to dull, wrinkled skin over the course of decades. Fortunately, science is finally catching up with nature. I can use innovative laser treatments to restore a beautiful look. My patients love the results of their minimally invasive laser skin resurfacing treatments in Los Angeles.

I'd be happy to discuss skin resurfacing treatments in Los Angeles, including Fraxel®. Request a consultation online or call us at (310) 300-1779 to learn more.

Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

During the consultation, I'm careful to explain the laser skin resurfacing procedure, how it works, and what men and women can expect. Another important element of the consultation is our complete discussion of all other options. For many of the conditions that can be improved with laser skin resurfacing, other treatments also could be a good fit. I'm happy to answer questions about the pros and cons of surgery and non-surgical procedures such as BOTOX, injectable fillers, chemical peels, and at-home skin care products.

Laser treatments are relatively comfortable; however, topical anesthetic may be used to ensure as pleasant a treatment experience as possible. The hand piece is passed over the areas that require correction (the face and neck are the most popular treatment areas).

Fraxel, one of the most popular laser skin resurfacing procedures, is a fractional procedure. "Fractional" means that the laser treats only a fraction of the skin at a time. The micro-columns of laser light penetrate within the outer layers of the skin, stimulating the skin's natural healing process below.

After laser resurfacing treatments, including treatments with the Fraxel laser in Los Angeles, patients generally experience some redness and swelling. These conditions vary depending on the aggressiveness of treatment and will fade over time. You may be able to get back to work within an hour or two. After more aggressive treatments, you may need several days before you can return to your usual routine.

A laser skin resurfacing treatment can begin to achieve improvement for a variety of conditions. After the procedure, you can see a reduction in wrinkles, rough skin texture, uneven pigment, loose or sagging skin, and (with more aggressive lasers) scars.
