Breast Augmentation with Fat Grafts Before & After Case 1237
Case Details
This 40-year-old patient had larger breasts that had lost fullness in the upper portion and developed some sagging. Her goal was not a dramatic increase in size but a fuller, better-shaped breast with more volume in the upper pole. Dr. David Stoker performed breast augmentation with fat grafting, using her own fat to restore volume where it was most needed.
In breast augmentation with fat grafts, fat is collected through liposuction and carefully injected into the breast. Because the fat is placed in a controlled way, Dr. Stoker could concentrate the added volume in the upper pole instead of enlarging the breast evenly. That targeted placement is what improves the shape of the breast, not just its size.
The postoperative photographs show fuller breasts with a more rounded upper contour and a smoother transition from the chest. Fat grafting does not reposition the breast the way a breast lift does, and some transferred fat may be reabsorbed. For patients whose main concern is lost upper fullness, however, fat augmentation can create a more lifted appearance using only their own tissue.
