Breast Augmentation with Fat Grafts Before & After Case 1239
Case Details
Diet-resistant fat and a wish for fuller breasts are often assumed to need separate solutions. For this 24-year-old woman from Eastern Europe, Dr. David Stoker addressed both in a single operation with fat transfer breast augmentation. Despite consistent exercise and dieting, she could not reduce stubborn fat around her midsection. She wanted larger breasts but preferred not to have implants.
Dr. Stoker performed power-assisted liposuction 360 degrees around the waist, allowing the abdomen, flanks, and back to blend smoothly into one another. Fat intended for grafting is living tissue, so he performed the harvest very gently to protect as many intact fat cells and stem cells as possible. He then injected approximately 200cc of viable fat and stem cells into each breast. Once the grafted fat establishes a blood supply, it becomes part of the breast itself.
The long-term results show an increase of almost a full cup size, with rounder, fuller breasts and a more tapered waist. Together, these changes shift her proportions toward an hourglass silhouette, using only her own tissue. Fat transfer offers a more modest size increase than implants, and some grafted fat may not survive. With careful harvesting and placement, Dr. Stoker, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Los Angeles, has found it to be a predictable procedure in appropriately selected patients.
